My Role
Lead Product Designer: Discovered, designed and launched the new feature Code Hub. Later transitioned to a Product Manager role, where I created an internal social network centered around Booking Codes.
-
Reduced bet rejection rate by 20%.
-
Multi-Maker usage grow from 3% to 8% in Real Sports
Outcome
What is Multi-Maker
Accumulator
Multi Maker lets users create customized bet slips by combining selections from different football leagues and markets. It starts with five random picks, allowing users to personalize their bet by selecting preferred leagues, markets, and odds. This feature can be accessed from an empty betslip or the football section in the quick sports menu.

Problem Statement
Top leagues drive 80% of stakes in Real Sports Football, with most of our users favoring multi bets, indicating strong potential for features like Multi Maker. However, low click-through and bet placement rates suggest limited user adoption.
Additionally, SportyBet faces challenges with high-liability Booking Code bets, often leading to rejections. How can SportyBet enable high-risk bets while effectively managing risk and simultaneously encourage user to engage with Multi-Maker?
Solution 1
Use Empty Betslip Smartly
SportyBet’s main users were multi-bet players who often used external sources or the Code Hub to acquire Booking Codes. Many re-bet the same codes, highlighting the need to streamline this process.
To address this, I improved the betslip layout in two phases.
-
In Phase 1, I minimized the prominence of Multi Maker and added a “Recent Codes” feature, making it easier for users to re-bet codes.
-
In Phase 2, I integrated the Code Hub’s Booking Code algorithm, which recommended relevant codes directly within the betslip.
This redesign turned empty betslips into a key touchpoint, allowing users to load, re-bet, or explore new codes from one central location.

Solution 2
Edit with Multi Maker
Multi-bet players often focused on odds when refining their betting strategies. I noticed some users loaded Booking Codes with up to 20 selections, removed high-odds events, and replaced them with similar ones to optimize their bets. To simplify this process, I proposed better integration of Multi Maker within the Code Hub, specifically for handling high-liability Booking Codes.
From the Code Hub, users could click “Edit” to load their Booking Code directly into Multi Maker, making it easy to adjust selections and create new multi-bet combinations.

For bets flagged as high liability, instead of rejecting them, users were redirected to Multi Maker. This allowed them to adjust their combinations by adding or replacing selections, creating a smoother and more user-friendly experience.

Solution 3
Refined the Multi Maker Interface
Analyzing User Pain Points in Multi Maker
Data and user observations revealed that the current Multi Maker interface creates confusion and impedes user understanding of its functionality. The most frequently clicked buttons are “Add Selections,” “Add to Betslip,” and “Spin,” while filter usage remains low. Additionally, I noticed that some users manually remove selections one by one, only to add a new batch afterward.
Key usability issues included:
• Users struggled to track the number of selections made, as this information was not prominently displayed.
• Total odds were positioned at the bottom, making them hard to notice.
• Adding selections was limited to one at a time, frustrating users and reducing engagement.
Enhancements in the New Design
In the redesigned Multi Maker, I addressed these pain points to create a more intuitive and user-friendly interface:
-
In 1. Improved Information Hierarchy: The top section now prominently displays the total number of selections and odds, making critical information easily visible.
-
In 2. Simplified Bulk Actions: Users can now remove all selections or lock specific choices quickly, streamlining the editing process.
-
In 3 & 4 Batch Selection Feature: Introduced the ability to add multiple selections at once, reducing repetitive actions.
-
In 5 & 6. Enhanced Button Accessibility: Frequently used buttons like “Add to Betslip” and “Add Selection” have been enlarged for easier interaction.
-
In 7. Consolidated Filters: Streamlined non-essential filters into a more compact layout, improving usability while retaining advanced options.
These updates aim to eliminate frustration and empower users to utilize Multi Maker more effectively, ultimately enhancing their betting experience.

Outcome
Reduced the Bet Rejection Rate
Since enabling users to edit their bets in Multi Maker, we have seen a significant 20% reduction in bet rejection rates, with 69% of users successfully placing their bets when encountering a high-liability Booking Code.
Multi Maker usage has also grow from 3% to 8% among Real Sports users.
